Mission & Vision.
In the broadest sense, we exist for the common good of our community of northeast Los Angeles, and beyond. We recognize many barriers to thriving and equality, and we want to build a movement—thought leaders, builders, disruptors, organizers, activists, entrepreneurs, teachers—towards overcoming at all levels of society. Our vision is to be an incubator, an organization and structure, to facilitate all non-profit programs and ventures to further justice and community building.
The legal organization Kairos Community Partners was created in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic, but our team of founders have been working in East Los Angeles since 2006 in various capacities including education and business initiatives. During the pandemic, we realized that there was an organizational void, with a costly runway in both time and money, for a program to get created and running on a moments notice. In order to provide ideas with the ability to be hatched quickly and with flexibility, we want to provide that infrastructure: a legal entity, 501(c)3 nonprofit status, basic infrastructure (website, phone number, fundraising platform, etc.) for our entire community. With that being said, we are busy building from within as well!
